County approves airport grant paperwork and lease reassignment; Planning & Zoning public comment scheduled

Paul Thur, representing Airports and Land Planning, gave commissioners an update on airport funding and planning on Jan. 20.
Thur presented a grant certification checklist that matched a previously submitted document; Bruce Jolley moved to approve the checklist, and the motion carried. Thur also presented a reassignment of a lease for a purchased boneyard item; Jolley moved to approve the reassignment, which the commission approved. Thur said the Airport Board has formed a committee to edit minimum standards and noted that the WASIP shows substantial planned matches in 2028 that may cross fiscal years and affect county obligations.
Thur also reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Jan. 26 for public comment on proposed subdivision rule edits.
