The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority approved several routine items during its meeting, including a tree‑removal request, a building‑permit refund and a conditional release of a developer’s performance bond.

A resident explained that a locust tree in a public easement at 7798 Tanager Street could damage the sidewalk and said an arborist had advised removal; the resident told the authority the owners would pay removal costs. The authority moved to grant the tree‑removal at the owners’ expense and approved it by voice vote.

The board approved a refund of building permit number 2657 (applicant listed as Windham Nation) by voice vote. Members also approved a request from a developer identified as Lumen's Logistics to reduce a performance bond to a maintenance bond; staff reported having reviewed the request and recommended approval provided the maintenance bond is placed first.

Staff updated the authority on an unsafe‑building order for the property at 300 West Old Bridge Road, saying the owner had submitted paperwork to the planning commission for a one‑lot subdivision and planned to remove the house once that approval is obtained. The authority set this item over to the April 15 meeting for further review.

Other administrative items included approval of claims and acceptance of the meeting agenda, a brief update about a reenergized after‑school program involving first responders, and a dog‑park update noting overseeding and planned key‑fob access tied to a forthcoming fee‑schedule amendment.
