Big Horn County approves Greybull airport leases, floodplain permit and right‑of‑way waivers

Big Horn County commissioners approved a set of airport and land‑use actions on Dec. 2, 2025, including two Greybull boneyard leases, a lease assignment and several permits recommended by airport and land planning staff.
Paul Thur and Stephanie May presented the Airport and Land Planning report and asked the commission to approve Greybull boneyard leases for Anderson and King; Commissioner Dave Neves moved to approve the leases, the motion was seconded and carried. Thur also presented a lease assignment for Greybull Airport lot No. 5, which the commission approved after Neves moved for approval and the motion was seconded and carried.
Thur and May presented a floodplain development permit for the Rierden Bridge project and recommended waiving the associated permit fee; the commission approved the permit and the fee waiver. May also presented right‑of‑way permit requests for Orchard Bench, Road 16 and Lane 39½, asking that the Lane 39½ maintenance work receive a fee waiver; the commission approved the permits and the Lane 39½ fee waiver.
All of these actions were approved by motion and recorded as carried; specific vote tallies were not recorded in the minutes. The approvals allow planned maintenance and the Rierden Bridge construction work to move forward under county permits and fee waivers.
