County airport and land-planning staff updated the commission on active projects and sought approvals for several land items at the Oct. 7 meeting.
Paul Thur and Stephanie May said five aircraft offered at auction did not meet reserve prices and recommended approving 4–6 temporary land leases so successful bidders can remove their property. Thur said proceeds from the auction were lower than hoped and noted the Airport Board will need to consider options for unsold items.
Thur also asked the county to apply for a Wyoming 250 grant to freshen a flag mural on the Greybull Airport water tank; he said the funding notice came from WYDOT Aeronautics and he will follow up on possible funding conflicts and coordination with the Town of Greybull because the water tank will eventually belong to the town.
May presented Simple Subdivision 25-005 and recommended approval; Commissioner Jolley moved to approve the plat, and the motion was seconded and carried. May also presented right-of-way permits for Road 5½, Lane 38½ and Lane 3, recommending approval based on engineering and Road & Bridge review; Jolley moved to approve those permits and the motions were seconded and carried.
The Commission also signed a previously revised easement for the Shell Creek Bridge, as detailed in the Sept. 16 meeting record.
Staff said they will follow up on auction-unsold-item options and on the mural grant application and will coordinate with the Town of Greybull as appropriate.
