Commission approves several facilities maintenance expenditures, flags budget impact

Facilities Management presented multiple maintenance items and the commission approved the requested expenditures by consensus or motion at the Oct. 7 meeting.
Jeremy Pouska reported the Kubol service agreement renewal quote of $10,800 for the same gold service plan; the Commission approved renewing the contract. Pouska also advised that jail door closers require replacement rather than repair and requested $10,400 to replace them; the Commission approved the purchase, with Pouska noting the cost was not budgeted and will likely require a later budget augmentation.
Pouska presented heat-tape replacement quotes of $7,033 for the North Senior Center and $12,731.95 for the Lovell (North) Annex. LATCF funding covers the North Annex cost; commissioners approved replacing the Senior Center heat tape.
Separately under old business, County Clerk Lori Smallwood requested ratification of a previously authorized door-fob lock update and associated funding from the general fund reserve; Commissioner Neves moved to ratify the project and the motion was seconded and carried.
Commissioners directed staff to track these unbudgeted or partially funded expenditures and report any required budget augmentations later in the year.
