Business Administrator and Board Secretary Sean S. Cranston opened the nomination period; Ms. Kiley nominated Brian Leddin and Mrs. Thompson seconded the nomination. With no additional nominees, the board closed nominations and carried a roll call vote of 7–0 to appoint Leddin.
The appointment followed an executive session the board held earlier that evening to discuss matters permitted under the Open Public Meetings Act, including “Negotiations” and “Board Vacancy,” that had been estimated to last 45 minutes. The board returned to public session at 9:10 p.m., and the appointment vote was recorded before the meeting adjourned at 9:13 p.m.
