Lakeview Elementary water damage and middle-school crossing safety draw board attention; work group proposed

Board member Martin Saari reported information from a recent conversation with an MDOT contact and suggested forming a work group to explore options and clarify jurisdiction for traffic changes. Saari said he will contact Pete Savolinen to seek assistance.
The board noted that the crossing guard currently uses a brightly lit stop sign that has improved visibility, but additional measures may be needed to make students’ crossings safer. The board did not take a formal vote but directed further inquiry and local coordination with city and state contacts.
