The Negaunee Public Schools Board approved several personnel and policy items at its July 21 meeting.
After Fae Collins left the meeting, the board voted 5-0 to adopt the Administrative Salary Schedule through the 2028–2029 school year and to approve the NPS Student Handbook for 2025–26. The board also approved athletic fees as presented and confirmed that NPS students will be admitted free to home athletic events; that vote was 5-0.
Superintendent Andy Skewis announced several Schedule B resignations: Kyle Bell (J.V. assistant football coach), Cory Richards (middle school football coach), Tim Lindberg (8th-grade girls basketball coach), and Kelsie Luokkala (10th-grade class advisor). The board then approved a long list of Schedule B appointments for high school, middle school, athletics and elementary activities. The motion to approve appointments carried 4-0 with two abstentions recorded by Marty Saari and Greg Toutant.
The board also approved leave requests for Arica Altobello and an additional business leave for Rachel Hauff, and approved an educational credit request by Michael Holmgren, all by recorded votes of 5-0.
