Greeley County commissioners approve subdivision, valuation correction and small budget transfer

At its June 23 meeting the Greeley County Board of Commissioners approved routine administrative items, including minutes, payroll and claims, and several motions affecting county land and budgets.
Commissioner Joe Leslie moved to waive the reading and approve the minutes from the June 9 meeting and to approve payroll and claims; both motions passed on roll-call votes with all members voting yes. The Board approved the Donovan Acres Administrative Subdivision, covering 8.467 acres in the SW¼ of SW¼ S-36 T-20 R-11, on a unanimous vote.
The Board reviewed a Veteran Service Office budget shortfall and approved a $100 transfer from General Miscellaneous to cover expected expenditures; Veteran Service Officer Robert McCurdy presented a laptop quote and requested cost-sharing with Boone County, but the Board did not act on the laptop request at the meeting.
During the Board of Equalization session, Assessor Gerri Behnk presented a correction for parcel 390015303 after adjusting the second-story finished area from 2,000 square feet to 1,360 square feet; the Board approved reducing the parcel's assessed value from $399,820 to $372,210, a change of $27,610. The Board adjourned the Board of Equalization and the full meeting adjourned at 10:41 a.m.
