Rumson-Fair Haven board ratifies personnel and education items; approves delayed testing schedule and grants

The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education approved a package of personnel and education items on April 8, including ratification of Junior Prom chaperones and pay, appointment of sound engineers and co-sound engineers for outside events, spring curriculum-writing assignments, leaves of absence, and coaching/advisor appointments.
The board accepted a $250 donation to the RFH softball program from Bulldawgs Softball and a $2,000 grant from the RFH Performing Arts Society to the Marching Bulldogs to cover Fall 2025 field show music arrangements, licensing and permissions.
Education approvals included multiple field trips (Delaware Valley Science Fair, Monmouth Regional Performing Arts Center, Penn Relays, Jackson Liberty Film Club and an AP Environmental Science beach trip) and home-instruction arrangements for specific students with listed hours and providers. The board also voted to adopt revised LLD Math curricula (Math 9, 10 and 11/12).
The board approved a 10:30 a.m. delayed opening for students in grades 10 and 12 on May 20 and May 21, 2025 to accommodate NJSLA testing. Personnel and education items 18–22 were approved on a motion by Mrs. Kiley, seconded by Mrs. Whitehouse; the roll-call vote was unanimous among members present, with Mr. Grant and Mr. Page absent.
The board later moved into a brief executive session to discuss attorney/client privilege and student matters, returned to public session and adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
