The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education on Aug. 12 approved a broad slate of personnel actions for the 2025–26 school year, covering non‑tenured and tenured faculty appointments, paraprofessionals, secretarial and maintenance staffing, coaching assignments, club advisors and stipend schedules.
Personnel Items on the Aug. 12 agenda listed names, step/guide levels and salaries for hundreds of staff. Examples from the minutes include non‑tenured hire Huiwen Chen at $85,195 and tenured faculty entries such as Carrie Baker and Darren Beatty; paraprofessionals listed hourly salaries (e.g., Jacqueline Briody $31,215), and secretarial 12‑month salaries were listed (e.g., Margaret Bryson $72,774). The agenda also included resignations (Margaret Bryson effective Aug. 15, 2025; Laura Grande Aug. 5, 2025; Matthew Leddin on or before Sept. 29, 2025) and leaves of absence with date ranges and referenced NJFLA coverage.
Athletics and activities staffing and stipends were approved across many sports: head football coach Jeremy Schulte ($9,231), boys soccer head coach Jeffrey Soares ($7,929), head volleyball coach Calvin Williams ($7,929) and multiple assistant and volunteer coaches. The board approved advisor assignments and stipend groupings for school clubs and organizations (Tower Players, Yearbook, NHS, SGA and dozens more) and noted provisional volunteers and pending criminal-history/certification items where applicable.
On a motion by Mr. Dougherty, seconded by Mr. Page, the board approved Personnel Items #2–30 by roll call; the minutes record five 'yes' votes from present members and list absentees as 'n/a.' The minutes do not include underlying employment contracts or budgetary totals that aggregate the payroll impact of the approvals.
