Rumson-Fair Haven board approves personnel changes, settlement and amended Speech Start LLC contract

Personnel approvals included new job descriptions, an amended resignation effective date for Social Studies teacher Matthew Leddin (changed to Aug. 13, 2025), and a slate of substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year. The superintendent recommended the items; the board approved them on a motion by Mr. Dougherty, seconded by Mr. Page.
At addenda the board approved a leave of absence (unpaid FMLA dates provided in the minutes), additional substitutes, and a voluntary transfer of Luz Coby to the position of Secretary to the Assistant Principal of Discipline and Student Attendance effective Aug. 27, 2025. The board also approved a settlement agreement regarding student #29001604.
The board approved an amended contract with Speech Start LLC to provide services required by the settlement. The minutes show previously approved payment terms ("$190 per week for 52 weeks") replaced by an updated structure: $120 per hour for 215 hours for individual speech therapy (not to exceed $9,880) and $70 per hour for 45 hours for social skills therapy, with a total not to exceed $28,950.
A motion by Ms. Kiley, seconded by Mr. Grant, carried the addenda items by unanimous roll call.
