The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education on Aug. 12 approved a Memorandum of Agreement and successor collective bargaining agreement with the Rumson-Fair Haven School Employees Association (RFHSEA), covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028. The item was presented on the personnel agenda and adopted as part of Personnel Items #2–30.
Board President Mrs. McGinty read the meeting’s opening remarks and the agenda item; the agreement text and ratification authority were included in the board resolution. The superintendent recommended board approval of the MOA, which the agenda described as the successor contract establishing terms and salary guides for represented staff.
The MOA was listed on the personnel portion of the agenda (see Personnel Items #2–30) and was approved on a motion later in the meeting. On the motion to approve Personnel Items #2–30, the roll-call vote recorded Mr. Dougherty, Ms. Romano, Mrs. McGinty, Mr. Page and Mrs. Whitehouse voting yes; members listed as absent were recorded as 'n/a.'
The minutes state the contract covers July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028 and authorizes the board president to sign the agreement on the board’s behalf. The agenda did not include detailed financial line items for the MOA beyond reference to adopted salary guides and the effective dates.
