Newaygo Public Schools board appoints John Bull to fill seat through 2026

Mrs. Sara Rivera-Cronk then moved, seconded by Mrs. Mary Spicer, to appoint Nicole Klomp. The roll-call vote was Grodus—Yes; Frisbie—No; Schultz—No; Rivera-Cronk—Yes; Gracik—No; Spicer—Yes, resulting in a 3–3 tie; that motion was defeated.

A third nomination, moved by Mrs. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Frisbie, proposed appointing John Bull to the board for the term ending Dec. 31, 2026. The roll-call vote was Grodus—Yes; Frisbie—Yes; Schultz—Yes; Rivera-Cronk—No; Gracik—Yes; Spicer—No. The motion carried 4–2 and John Bull was appointed.

There were no public comments on items not on the agenda. The board adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
