Wendy Vincke was elected president of the New Lothrop Area Public Schools Board of Education during the board’s Jan. 6 organizational meeting after a motion by President Rich White to close nominations and cast a ballot for Vincke carried 7-0. Adam Green nominated Rich White for vice president; that motion to close nominations and cast a ballot for White also passed 7-0.
Vincke nominated Ashley Krupp for secretary and Rich White nominated Adam Green for treasurer; both motions to close nominations and cast ballots carried 7-0. The board also voted unanimously to appoint Ashley Krupp as the district’s liaison to the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) and to appoint Jenn Otter as liaison to the Shiawassee Regional Educational Service District (RESD).
The elections and liaison appointments were made by voice motions recorded in the meeting minutes with the stated outcome “motion carried 7-0.” The organizational actions conclude the board’s formal officer and liaison assignments for the year; President Vincke said she will circulate committee assignment lists and requested members notify her if they want changes before a full committee listing is presented at the February meeting.
