Salem council amends property-maintenance ordinance to remove garage requirement for restoration vehicles

Council members said the amendment aligns the ordinance with housing stock realities in Salem, where many properties lack enclosed garages.
The adoption finalizes the change to the property-maintenance chapter; minutes record the amendment and adoption but do not list any dissenting votes. The council’s vote was recorded as all members present voting in favor; Long was absent.
