The group discussed coordination with youth groups and community volunteers and noted the need for supplies such as gloves, garbage bags and tools; volunteers were encouraged to bring personal yard equipment. The committee said Sons and Daughters may provide gravel and possibly refreshments.
The committee also noted that spraying of the cemetery, park and recreation center was scheduled for the Wednesday before the cleanup. Members discussed responsibility and authority for removing old decorations from graves and emphasized ongoing maintenance issues including weeds, sagebrush, broken benches and sprinkler problems. No public comments were received at the meeting regarding the cleanup.
