Residents praise downtown events and report NODE opening delay

"We have a new data tool to assess how well things go with downtown events and it will help with improvements for future events," Flagel said.
Steve Gargis, of 1325 Sheffield, thanked the city and Councilmember Charlie McAfee for assistance with a recent wrestling fundraiser, the Gritter Gauntlet, which raised more than $2,000 for cross-country uniforms; he noted a local alumnus, Terron Phillips, won the event.
Lisa Croteau provided a construction update on the NODE project, saying it was roughly three days behind schedule but should be ready by Nov. 25. She said concrete was scheduled to be poured the following day and furniture deliveries were expected the next week.
Those remarks were delivered as part of routine public comment; no formal council action on the NODE timeline was recorded in the minutes.
