Seaside Park council votes to enter executive session to discuss contract negotiations

Council President Wil moved to adopt a resolution authorizing an executive session to discuss contract negotiations; Council Member Craft seconded the motion. A roll-call vote followed with the participating council members recorded as voting in favor. The council later recessed the executive session and returned to the work session by unanimous roll-call vote.

The resolution read into the record stated that minutes of the executive session would be kept and made public once the confidentiality that justified closing the session no longer applies. During public comment, a resident asked whether executive-session minutes become public when resolved; a staff member replied that “minutes are definitely public as per the resolution and the statute.”
