Commissioner Joseph Davis presented a VC3 migration quote and an estimated monthly licensing cost of roughly $200 to cover Exchange Online and six Office suites. Davis said he had evaluated other vendors but had not found a suitable replacement and recommended remaining with VC3 to avoid splitting the city’s technology and email providers. The council approved the migration (MOTION by Joseph Davis, supported by Don Walker) at a cost not to exceed $2,013 plus the ongoing monthly fee.
Davis cautioned that migration to Exchange is an eventual necessity whether with VC3 or another vendor and said the presented fees are the lowest he found after discussions with VC3.
