Chairman Dom DelVecchio reported at the June 25 meeting that the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) required changes to the towns’ stormwater program and that both Durham and Middlefield have entered into an agreement with Nathan Jacobson and Associates to perform required stormwater monitoring.
DelVecchio said a monitoring plan from the consultant should be presented to the advisory board within the next few months. No formal vote or contract details were read into the record at the meeting; the report was provided as a status update to the board and Selectmen engagement was noted.
The board did not discuss monitoring costs or a schedule in detail during the meeting; members can expect the consultant’s plan and next steps when the firm presents.
