NICE Community School District board approves $1.91 million in disbursements, hires multiple coaches and aides

The board approved General Fund bills totaling $1,119,754.22 for the period Dec. 16, 2024–Jan. 17, 2025 and December payrolls of $790,143.62, yielding total disbursements of $1,909,897.84. The Treasurer's Report cited General Fund receipts of $1,634,560.68 and disbursements of $1,648,298.42; the Debt Retirement Fund balance was reported as $250.00 and the Sinking Fund balance as $342,789.61 as of Dec. 31, 2024. Those financial items were approved by motion and recorded as carried in the meeting minutes.
Several personnel motions were approved by motion during the meeting. Board member Chad Korpi moved and Jim Gray seconded the motion to approve the General Fund bills and payroll; the motion carried. For hires, the minutes record the following motions and outcomes:
