The Shrewsbury Borough School District Board of Education on Feb. 19 certified that, after review of the secretary’s monthly financial report and consultation with district officials, no major account fund had been over-expended and sufficient funds exist to meet obligations for the remainder of the school year.
The School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, Lindsey Case, certified payroll totals of $288,371.47 (Jan. 15) and $290,120.09 (Jan. 30). The board approved the bills list for February 2025 in the amount of $674,835.34 and authorized line-item transfers for January 2025, all in compliance with N.J.A.C. 6A:20-2.13(d). These actions were moved and seconded on the consent agenda and approved on a voice vote with eight members voting yes and one absent.
The board also accepted the Treasurer’s and Board Secretary’s monthly certifications for January 2025, confirming the district’s financial reports and reconciliation. The Finance & Facilities Committee, represented at the meeting by Mr. Ngo, noted the committee had met Feb. 14 to review the items presented to the board.
The superintendent’s report and routine operational items, including a brief report of three safety drills conducted in February, were presented earlier in the meeting. No public comments were made during the meeting.
