Shrewsbury board adopts board and district goals for 2024–25

The Shrewsbury Borough School District Board of Education adopted its Board Goals and District Goals for the 2024–2025 school year during the Oct. 16 meeting.
Adopted Board Goals included supporting administration on climate and culture follow-up, aligning curriculum implementation to new ELA and math standards, and improving communications to increase stakeholder awareness and highlight staff, students and programs. District Goals adopted included tri-yearly writing benchmarks addressing research writing, implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports, building a positive school climate, and reducing incidents of harassment, intimidation and bullying.
The items were presented by the superintendent as part of the meeting packet and adopted by the board in the regular vote. The minutes record committee distribution of action plans and indicate committees will oversee next steps and reporting.
