Northland board approves dissolution and creation of boys track cooperative agreements

At its May 13 meeting, the Northland Community Schools board voted to dissolve the existing Cooperative Agreement for Boys Track with Deer River Schools ISD #317 and Hill City Schools #002, effective at the close of the 2025–2026 school year. The motion was made by Tyler Seifert, seconded by Aaron Ammerman and approved by roll call (5–0, two absent).
In closely related action, the board approved the creation of a new Cooperative Agreement for Boys Track that includes Northland Community Schools ISD #118, Deer River Schools ISD #317, Hill City Schools #002 and Olson Homeschool starting in the 2026–2027 school year. That motion, made by Bill Wake and seconded by Aaron Ammerman, also passed by roll call (5–0, two absent).
Board members did not record debate or dissent in the minutes excerpt; both actions passed unanimously among members present. The cooperative changes will alter which partner districts and programs are formally enrolled in the boys track program for next school year.
