Council hears updates on paving, parks and planning; workshop set for Feb. 18
Summary

During routine departmental reports at the Jan. 15 meeting, Mayor Reasoner and other officials briefed the board on streets, parks and planning matters.
Mayor Reasoner discussed a new paving project and said the city attempts to repave on a three-year cycle. He also reported that the park board is planning an Easter Egg Hunt and has discussed painting the Wilson house. Alderman Deweese reported that Planning & Zoning would like to meet with the council at the Jan. 24, 2019 meeting to discuss condominiums.
City Recorder Kelly Rider reported the Safety Partners grant was completed and the city received a reimbursement of $979.40. Council scheduled a workshop for Feb. 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Reasoner also noted that Donnie Miller, who made the new city signs installed before Christmas, died that day.
No formal action on paving scope, park expenditures or planning policy was recorded in the minutes; the items were presented as informational or scheduling requests.
