Separately, Alderman Gregory moved and Alderman Senft seconded a $0.50-per-hour pay increase for Amber Mathis for completing the Certified Municipal Financial Officer certification; the motion carried unanimously.
Park board appointments: Vice Mayor Gilmore moved to appoint John Neely and Stephanie Senft to the park board. The motion was amended to separate the two appointments. The board voted to appoint Stephanie Senft (Gilmore yes; Mayor Shaw yes; Alderman Senft abstain; Alderman Gregory yes) and later approved John Neely's appointment (Gilmore yes; Mayor Shaw no; Alderman Senft no; Alderman Gregory yes). Both appointments carried after the separate roll-call votes were recorded.
