During discussion some council members urged selective use of lower‑cost, off‑the‑shelf cameras at less critical open‑space locations and asked staff to verify whether some sites could use simpler equipment. Public works and IT staff said the selected package allows phased expansion and that bundled installation costs and long‑term vendor support were important considerations. The council adopted resolution 25‑93 to fund the purchase and installation.
