The Old Tappan Mayor and Council adopted two ordinances on Jan. 21 after brief public comment periods were opened and closed with no public speakers.
Ordinance 1269 d25, introduced as the DPW salary ordinance, was read on second and final reading and adopted to set wages for DPW officers and employees for 2025–2027. Councilman Jin Yu presented the ordinance; the council opened the floor for public comment, received none, and adopted the ordinance by roll call. The borough clerk was authorized to publish the notice of adoption as required by law.
Ordinance 1270 d25 amends Chapter 119 to update fees charged for use of the Old Tappan golf course. The clerk’s office presented the ordinance on second reading; the council again opened and closed public comment and adopted the ordinance on second and final reading, with the clerk directed to publish the required notice of adoption.
Both ordinances were adopted without recorded amendments and with unanimous roll‑call results reported during the meeting. The council indicated the ordinances will be posted per statutory notice requirements.
