Krotz Springs approves minutes, bills and financials; mayor notes parish demolition grant list

Krotz Springs, La. — At its regular meeting on July 8, 2025, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen moved through routine municipal business, unanimously approving minutes from the June 11 regular meeting and the June 25 special meeting, authorizing payment of outstanding bills and approving the town's financial statements and reconciliation worksheets.
Motions were recorded as follows: approval of the June 11 minutes (mover: Keith Ardoin; seconder: Nyssa Godwin), approval of the June 25 special meeting minutes (mover: Cindy Stelly; seconder: Craig Burghdoff), authorization to pay outstanding bills (mover: Craig Burghdoff; seconder: Larry Martinez), and approval of financial statements (mover: Cindy Stelly; seconder: Keith Ardoin). All four motions were carried by unanimous vote as recorded in the minutes.
Chief Susie Snyder reported that "all is good in town." Maintenance Supervisor Nina Snyder was noted absent. During public comment resident Louis Polotzola asked whether town dumpsters are closed; Mayor Carroll B. Snyder confirmed they are closed.
Mayor Snyder also told the board that the parish has been approved for a demolition grant and that Krotz Springs has 13 properties on the parish's list. The minutes state that the parish will distribute demolition funds to the participating towns once the parish receives the grant funding; no timetable or dollar amounts were specified in the minutes.
