Krotz Springs council adopts amended 2024–25 budget and approves 2025–26 operating budget

Before the vote on Ordinance No. 1, the minutes record an adjustment to the ARPA (CARES Act) line: $16,000 was deducted on the ARPA entry on page 6, leaving an ARPA balance of $57,437. The minutes also record that $120,000 was added on page 8 for retirement (MPERS). Those line-item changes were recorded as part of the budget amendment considered by the council.
Council member Craig Burghdoff moved to adopt Ordinance No. 2 of 2025, which adopts the town's operating budget of revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026; Council member Keith Ardoin seconded. The roll-call vote again recorded YEAS from Craig Burghdoff, Larry Martinez, Cindy Stelly and Keith Ardoin; Nyssa Godwin was absent. The motion carried and Ordinance No. 2 was adopted.
Both votes were recorded as unanimous among members present. The ordinances set the town's spending plan for the remainder of the current fiscal year and the coming fiscal year; the minutes do not list further line-item detail for the entire FY 2025–26 budget beyond the adoption motion and the adjustments recorded before the first vote.
