Renick R-V board approves 2025–26 salary schedules and increases unused PTO payout

The Renick R-V Board of Education approved multiple compensation and personnel items at its April 15 meeting, including certified and classified salary schedules and a change to the district's PTO payout for unused days.
Superintendent Jeana Calloway-Hodson presented two options for the 2025–26 certified salary schedule; Josh Deweese moved to approve Schedule A and Jay Hill seconded. The motion carried 7-0. For classified staff, two options were likewise presented; Michael McKeown moved to approve Schedule B, seconded by Tyler Cleeton, and the motion carried 7-0.
Jeana recommended increasing the daily payout for unused paid time off from $45 to $90; Josh Deweese moved to adopt the change and Tyler Cleeton seconded. The board approved the increase 7-0. The current Career Ladder Plan was presented with no suggested changes; Tyler Cleeton moved to approve the plan and Michael McKeown seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
Why it matters: Changes to salary schedules and PTO payout affect staff compensation and the district budget for 2025–26. During the superintendent's budget discussion the board was advised it will likely add at least one classified position for the coming year.
