Harrison Township board approves finance, personnel and facilities items; bills totaling $2.14M ratified

At its Nov. 18, 2025 meeting the Harrison Township Board of Education approved a slate of finance, personnel, transportation and facilities items, with most votes unanimous.
Business Administrator Christopher DeSanto presented the October financials, and the board approved finance items 1–12 by an 8–0 roll-call vote. The approved payments included an October ratified bill list of $1,904,572.30 and a November bill list of $236,777.48. The board authorized a contract with Four Seasons Landscaping for snow removal for the 2025–26 school year, approved a preschool tuition rate of $3,475.00 for 2026–27, adopted the Nursing Services Plan for 2025–26, approved a lease with RICOH for a new Pleasant Valley School copier, and authorized submission of the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan/Form M-1 to Gloucester County. The board also authorized Resolution 2025-26 #4, a request for a waiver of participation in the SEMI program for 2025–26.
Superintendent Dr. Missy Peretti presented personnel items that passed 8–0. The board accepted the resignation of Raymond Meyers, custodian, effective Nov. 29, 2025, and the resignation of Erin Durkin, school nurse, effective Dec. 23, 2025. The board approved Tina Heil as Homeless Liaison (stipend $1,067.09) and named Nancy Marucci and Veronica Poma as ELL liaisons (stipend $1,100.00 each). The board approved several substitute hires, including Lori Nolan (nurse) and Heather Wisniewski (substitute teacher).
Administrative approvals included an assembly for first graders (Lizard Guy), tuition-reimbursement awards to AnnaLisa Rodano ($1,420.00) and course reimbursements for Kelly Meagher (two items at $2,503.23 each), and acknowledgements of safety drills in October and November. The board approved an addendum to a Clearview Regional interlocal transportation agreement for the 2025–26 year and multiple community use requests for the 2025–26 fiscal year (community fair, soccer club training, Math Club meetings, and parking assistance for a local event). Many of these motions passed by unanimous roll call (8–0) as recorded in the minutes.
The meeting also included routine committee reports (no updates), the swearing in of Alexis Rubino, and recognition of the district’s STEAM Tank winners. The board adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
