Board Chairman William Gratz called the Feb. 4 regular meeting of the Wardsville Board of Trustees to order at 6:35 p.m. The board unanimously approved the minutes from Jan. 7, 2026 after Co-Chairman Paul Stonner moved approval and Board member Rachel Busche seconded.
Treasurer Rick Taube moved and Board member Brian Schrimpf seconded approval of the January 2026 treasurer's report; the motion carried unanimously. Later in the meeting Rick Taube moved to approve payment of the bills, a motion seconded by Paul Stonner and carried unanimously.
Village Clerk Libby Chipman reported on administrative items: upcoming CD renewals in February, that county road bids had not yet started, and that village trucks were cleaned and treated after the recent snow. She also distributed the sheriff's January activity report, which recorded: Assist Ambulance 1; Traffic Stops 6; Security Patrol 5; Disturbance 1; Assist Citizen 6; Property Damage (Accidental) 1; Suspicious Activity 5; Burglary Alarm (False) 1; Well-Being checks 4; Harassment 1.
Board member Brian Schrimpf moved to adjourn at 7:03 p.m.; Board member Rachel Busche seconded and the motion carried. The minutes of this meeting remain in draft form and will be considered for approval at the next regular meeting on March 4, 2026.
