The Hasbrouck Heights Board of Health on Dec. 11 approved the minutes from its Nov. 13 meeting, adopted a schedule of meeting dates for 2025 and heard routine staff and finance reports before adjourning at 7:40 p.m.
President Connie Doheny presided over the meeting, which she opened at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Kelly, a board member, moved to accept the Nov. 13 minutes; Mrs. Auriemma seconded and the motion passed unanimously, according to the minutes. Later in the meeting Mrs. Kelly again moved to adopt the board's 2025 meeting dates as read by President Doheny; Mrs. Auriemma seconded and that motion likewise passed unanimously.
The minutes list staff submissions from Health Officer Mr. James Fedorko, Health Inspector Ms. Katherine Fabrizio and Board Secretary Ms. Laura French as "See Attached," and they do not record substantive discussion of the attachments. The finance section lists vouchers for payment: WB Mason (office supplies) $357.54; Mid-Bergen (4th quarter 2024 health contract) $18,750.00; H.A.R.P. (4th quarter 2024) $2,071.00, totaling $20,821.00 for the health contract line; and Allure Visuals (dog license flyers 2025) $514.10. The minutes state that "Mrs. Collins presented the following vouchers for payment," but Mrs. Collins is also listed earlier in the attendance as absent; the document does not record a motion or vote to approve the vouchers.
During the public portion, the mayor "thanked the members of the Board of Health for all their years of service and the members of the Health Dept. for all their work," according to the minutes. The agenda items listed sections for new and old business but no substantive items were recorded under those headings. Mrs. Auriemma moved to adjourn the meeting; Mrs. Ratkowski seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes were signed by Board Secretary Ms. Laura French (filed Dec. 26, 2024). The record shows the board convened at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
