The Board of Commissioners of Harvey Cedars approved routine business on July 15, including the minutes of the July 5 regular meeting and a bills list covering purchase orders and invoices. Rice moved to adopt the bills resolution and Commissioner Joseph F. Gieger seconded; the minutes indicate unanimous "Aye" votes.
The board also approved several public property usage requests for summer events: an annual Lifeguard in Training tournament on July 19 (about 200 attendees expected), the Mid‑Summer Meltdown lifeguard tournament on July 24 (about 70 attendees), the Island Lifeguard Tournament on Aug. 2–3 (about 150 attendees), a wedding in the Sunset Park gazebo on Sept. 14 (about 12 attendees) and a child’s birthday party on July 20 (about 20 attendees). Each event was approved by motion of Commissioner Rice and second by Commissioner Gieger as recorded in the minutes.
Commissioner Rice reported that the finance department had no new updates and Commissioner Gieger noted a local landscaping business will display in the borough hall flowerbed. Mayor John M. Imperiale acknowledged resident Walt Naisby for constructing a community toy box at the bay beach. The meeting adjourned at 4:42 p.m.
