The board adopted Resolution #2024-131 to extend the borough's solid waste and recyclable materials collection contract with Meadowbrook Industries, LLC for one year, from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2025, at an annual combined rate of $286,000. Commissioner Paul Rice moved the measure; Commissioner Joseph Gieger seconded. Mayor John Imperiale and both commissioners recorded aye votes.
Resolution #2024-134 authorized year-end transfers within the 2024 budget. Notable movements include $30,000 to Legal Services (OE), $10,000 to Engineering (OE), $40,000 to Police salaries (S&W), and $10,000 to the LBI Trolley shared-service line. The board approved the transfers on a unanimous vote.
The board also passed Resolution #2024-133 to correct a tax duplicate for Block 38, Lot 6 (6309 F Long Beach Boulevard) and authorized a refund of $14,286.38 to the property owner after identifying a duplicate improvement assessment. The motion passed unanimously.
Resolution #2024-135 amended a prior action on Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) contributions for the High Point Volunteer Fire Company, increasing the borough's base contribution from $630 to $1,029 using CPI adjustments for 2003—2023; the board approved the amendment unanimously.
Resolution #2024-132 designating the borough's 2025 holiday schedule for full-time employees and Resolution #2024-136 approving the bills list were both adopted by unanimous votes.
Motions and votes recorded in the meeting minutes show Commissioner Rice and Commissioner Gieger moved and seconded multiple measures; Mayor Imperiale and both commissioners consistently voted in favor on each recorded tally.
