Town manager Brian asked council to approve a service estimate from DOS Equipment to repair truck No. 34, identified as the leaf truck used by public works, and said the vehicle is vital to daily operations. The estimate shown in the meeting packet was read as "31,94949," which appears garbled in the transcript; the council approved the repair request by voice vote.
Brian also requested approval to purchase the property at 2011 Highway 1 South (adjacent to the new fire station) for $50,000 plus closing costs. He said the acquisition will provide the town access to the full property and room for future expansion of the fire site. Council approved the purchase by voice vote.
Later in the agenda council voted to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters. After the executive session, the mayor announced that no action had been taken on the personnel matters on the record.
