The City of Warrensburg Board of Adjustment voted unanimously Jan. 8, 2025, to adopt a resolution approving variance VAR-121-2024 for properties at 510 and 512 N. Water Street.
The meeting was called to order at 5:03 p.m. by Chair Anita Love. Roll call showed members Mike Greife, Scott Chapman, Anita Love, Bryon Freeman and Thomas Ruehle present; staff in attendance included Adam Sommer, attorney and counsel to the Board of Adjustment; Barbara Carroll, Director of Community Development; and Kristin Dyer, City Planner. A court reporter recorded the session via video conference.
Early in the meeting the board approved the minutes from its Dec. 4, 2024 meeting. Scott Chapman moved to approve the minutes; Thomas Ruehle seconded, and the board voted 5-0 to adopt them.
Barbara Carroll introduced a resolution approving variance VAR-121-2024 concerning 510 and 512 N. Water Street. Chair Anita Love said she had read the Dec. 4, 2024 transcript before the meeting. Carroll asked whether the resolution accurately reflected the board’s reasons for granting the variance; no changes were requested. Mike Greife moved to approve the resolution and Bryon Freeman seconded. A roll-call vote recorded votes of Yes from Mike Greife, Scott Chapman, Bryon Freeman, Thomas Ruehle and Anita Love; the motion carried 5-0.
Chapman moved to adjourn the meeting; Ruehle seconded. The board approved the motion 5-0 and Chair Anita Love adjourned the meeting at 5:10 p.m.
