Board delays vote on 2025–2030 strategic plan to allow further review

The Henry Hudson Regional PK-12 Board of Education tabled action on the district’s proposed 2025–2030 Strategic Plan during its Aug. 20 meeting after a board member requested more time to review the document.
Board member Ms. Regina Melnyk asked that addendum item O (the Strategic Plan) be tabled to allow additional committee review. Board President Richard Colangelo postponed the Strategic Plan approval until the September meeting so board members could review the plan in more detail. No approval or discussion of substantive plan contents is recorded in the minutes for Aug. 20.
The agenda still listed a strategic-planning presentation by Dr. Timothy Teehan of the New Jersey School Boards Association, but the minutes do not contain the text of that presentation; the board’s action was limited to tabling the approval so that members could receive and review the plan before voting.
