Board accepts resignations and approves new hires, substitute principal and extracurricular staff

At its Aug. 20 meeting the Henry Hudson Regional PK-12 Board of Education accepted resignations and approved a range of personnel actions for the 2025–26 school year.
The board accepted the resignation of full-time teacher aide Jean Horgan (effective Aug. 17, 2025) and part-time teacher aide Kyle Bandilla (effective Aug. 15, 2025). The board approved the appointment of Kyle Bandilla to a full-time teacher-aide position at Atlantic Highlands Elementary School starting on or about Sept. 1, 2025, at an annual salary of $20,500 (pending required background checks where noted). The board also approved an appointment of Andy Teeple as a substitute principal/administrator on an as-needed basis at a per-diem rate of $500.
Other personnel approvals included part-time and per-diem hires for school security officers and lunch aides, a 0.5 FTE school social worker appointment, paid FMLA leave for an employee (9/8/2025–10/3/2025 with 20 sick days applied), and compensation for staff participating in summer CST meetings, orientation events and AP boot-camp instruction. Several hires and extracurricular appointments were noted as pending criminal-history review or certification where applicable.
The board also approved a lengthy list of extra-curricular advisors, coaches and monitors for the upcoming school year, listing staff names and assigned duties for both elementary and HHRS buildings. Compensation rates for orientation and evening event attendance were specified in the agenda.
