Warren Hills board approves three-year contract for Dr. Nicholas Diaz as superintendent; accepts staff resignation

The contract approval was part of personnel motions moved by Molly Fraumeni and seconded by Amy Kemp. The roll-call vote recorded seven aye votes (Molly Fraumeni, Jean Hansen, Erik Heller, Lisa Marshall, Paula Merrill, Amy Kemp and Alfred Coscia); Thomas Dufner and Corey Piasecki were absent. The resolution authorizes the board president and board secretary to execute the contract and to take necessary actions to implement its terms. The contract was reviewed and approved by the Executive County Superintendent of Schools as required by N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-3.1.
During the public-comment period an unnamed member of the public congratulated Dr. Diaz on his appointment. President Alfred Coscia thanked Earl Clymer for his guidance and service to the district and welcomed Dr. Diaz.
As part of the same personnel slate, the board accepted the resignation of Employee ID# 37845583, effective June 30, 2026; the minutes do not specify the departing employee’s name or position.
The board’s meeting notice, posted and mailed in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-11), shows the personnel motions were considered after an executive session called to address confidential matters including pending litigation, personnel issues and confidential student matters. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
