Commissioners also opened two archaeologist bids for the courthouse project. The recorded submissions were a total bid of $24,827.50 from Mitzi Rossillon and an alternative structure from John Meadows: $1,450.00 per week plus a $21,715.00 mobilization fee. The board took both bids under advisement and did not award a contract during the work session.
Commissioners discussed next steps for procurement and coordination with the Town of Virginia City on the requested traffic control change. No formal action was taken on the archaeologist bids at the meeting; staff and legal counsel will follow up with recommended procurement steps and scheduling.
