Ho-Ho-Kus board approves DRTRS submission, Bayada contract and M-1 maintenance plan; OKs Veterans Day helicopter landing

At its Nov. 4 meeting the Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education approved several finance and facilities items by unanimous roll-call votes.
Finance: The board authorized submission of the DRTRS for the 2026–2027 school year and approved Bayada Nursing Agency as a contracted provider for substitute nurse services for the 2025–26 school year. Those motions were presented on the superintendent’s recommendation and recorded as passed 4-0.
Facilities and maintenance: The board approved the Annual M-1 Report and the district’s three-year Comprehensive Maintenance Plan required by the New Jersey Department of Education, certifying planned maintenance activities and compliance with warranty requirements. The board also approved a request to permit a helicopter landing on district property as part of a Veterans Day educational experience scheduled for Nov. 12, 2025.
Each action was moved and approved by roll call; the agenda records no further debate or conditions beyond those in the resolutions. The board recorded the votes as 4-0; one member was absent for roll call on multiple items.
