Commission elects Bob Moore chairman pro tem; approves April minutes

Secretary Regina Graham called the Gardendale Planning & Zoning Commission to order on May 14 at Gardendale City Hall. With the chairman and vice chairman absent, Commissioner Alvin Currington moved and Commissioner Ronald Barnett seconded a motion to elect Bob Moore as Chairman Pro Tem; the commission voted unanimously to approve the motion.
After the election, Alvin Currington offered the invocation. The commission recorded members present (Ronald Barnett, Alvin Currington, Katie Lewis, Bob Moore and William Noble) and those absent (Richard Bradley, Bill Casaday, Jack Fields and Robbin Phillips); Building Superintendent Blake Castleberry was also absent.
Katie Lewis moved and Ronald Barnett seconded a motion to dispense with the reading of the April 9 minutes and approve them as presented, with any corrections to be made at the next meeting. The motion carried unanimously. With no further business, Lewis moved and Barnett seconded a motion to adjourn; the board voted unanimously and the meeting adjourned.
