Municipal Clerk Mendy Corder told the City of Cayce Council on Sept. 2, 2025, that an error had been found in the Aug. 20, 2025 meeting minutes and asked that approval of those minutes be postponed until the Sept. 17 meeting so she could correct them. Council Member Hunter Sox moved to approve the Aug. 5, 2025 regular council meeting minutes as written and to postpone approval of the Aug. 20, 2025 minutes; Council Member Byron Thomas seconded the motion.
The motion was put to a roll call vote and was unanimously approved. Present members recorded in the meeting minutes were Mayor Elise Partin, Mayor Pro Tem Tim James and Council Members Phil Carter, Hunter Sox and Byron Thomas. The council scheduled consideration of the corrected Aug. 20 minutes for the Sept. 17, 2025 meeting (Municipal Clerk Mendy Corder did not specify the nature of the error).
