Commissioner Bryan DiPersia read a letter outlining a FY27 payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) to the Town of Rowley totaling $27,172.26 under Section 58 of Chapter 164 of the General Laws. Commissioner Danby Whitmore moved to approve the payment and Mark Cousins seconded; the roll-call vote was unanimous (Mark Cousins: "I"; Bryan DiPersia: "I"; Danby Whitmore: "I").
Manager Matt Brown explained the payment is processed annually and calculated by a formula that factors KWH usage, revenue and expenses. Brown said total KWH for the year came to 123,456, which he described as "a first for the RMLP." The board approved the payment at 6:09 PM.
The vote authorizes the payment to the Town and closes this fiscal-year PILOT calculation for FY27. No amendments or conditions were recorded during the motion.
