HUTCHINSON — Organizers of the River Song Music Festival updated the Hutchinson City Council on June 23 about event logistics for the July festival, saying camping is full and security and site preparations are in place.
Leah Camerath, community outreach coordinator for River Song, told the council camping reservations are full with two overflow sites reserved, and noted security arrangements are being coordinated with Officer Ben Erinsson. She outlined setup timelines: early equipment unloading the evening before, full setup the day before the festival, perimeter fencing and signage to mark restricted areas, portable restrooms, lighting and vendor arrival times. Camerath listed participating bands and thanked the city for its support.
Council members asked how to obtain tickets; Camerath said tickets are available through the festival website, riversongfestestival.org, and invited council members to request any additional information the city needs. The council did not discuss changes to permits; event approvals were on the consent agenda and were approved earlier in the meeting.
