Grant County commissioners voted July 6 to adopt Ordinance No. 6‑2026, which establishes a 45 mph maximum speed limit on a section of County Road 450 North from State Road 9 to County Road 300 East in order to make the posted limit continuous along that stretch.
Mr. White of the highway department introduced the ordinance and said the change would align the posted speed from Bethlehem to 600 East and make it continuous from State Road 9 to County Road 300 East. The board opened the public‑comment period for the ordinance, received no speakers and closed public comment before taking the vote.
Commissioner Polling moved and Commissioner Stewart seconded adoption of Ordinance 6‑2026; the motion carried on a voice vote. The ordinance will be adopted effective after publication in accordance with standard procedures.
