At its Jan. 10, 2026 meeting in the Bulger Middle School media center the Kingsburg Board of Education approved a slate of routine items including minutes, personnel actions, policy readings, donations and a conservation-easement resolution.
The board approved the minutes after a motion and second; roll-call votes recorded affirmative votes from Mrs. Clayton, Mrs. Friselle, Miss Keller Moran, Mr. Cook, Mr. Hoff and Miss Ferraro, with Mr. Manowski recorded as recused. The motion carried.
The superintendent presented a personnel package covering one retirement, professional employment revisions, medical leave, substitute and professional staff appointments, volunteer community-service placements, coach and advisor assignments for spring athletics and other personnel items. The board moved, seconded and approved the personnel recommendations.
On policy and regulation items the board reviewed several readings including a consolidation under NJAC fiscal-accountability and budgeting procedures (item no. 17). Members clarified that the item consolidates prior policies; the board approved the policy items on the second reading.
Under general consent, the board approved the acceptance of a donation to the Kingsburg Early Learning Center, an added senior-seminar internship location, the disposal of unusable furniture and equipment, and approval of in-state class trips. In the business-administrator portion of the agenda the board accepted the January board secretary report, appropriation transfers, the bills list, home-instruction approvals and authorized submission of the New Jersey Learning Acceleration Program High Tutoring Grant (grant period May 1, 2026–May 31, 2027).
Addendum BS1, a resolution approving a conservation easement for Fort Mama school property, was presented by the board secretary/business administrator and approved by roll call after brief discussion about removal of trailers currently on the site.
There were no public comments on agenda items. The board then moved to communications, member recognitions and adjourned for the evening.
